Challenge #1 - The ABC's of Survivor
Welcome Thant, Waldheim, Annan, and Ki-Moon to your first challenge. I thought that it would be good to test how you worked together and so I developed a challenge that I thought could do that.
Throughout FNS’s history, ABC games have been quite popular. For this challenge, you are going to make an ABC list with a Survivor-theme. Here’s how it will work.
You are going to make a list of every letter:
A-
B-
C-
[Note: For X, you can do eX, but the rule I'll explain later will still apply, concerning whether a word is X or eX.]
And so on. Next to every letter, write a Survivor-related word. By the end, you will have 26 words. Phrases ARE ALLOWED, however, it will probably be harder to score with phrases, so you will most likely not want to use phrases. Once complete, one tribe member will PM me your list. Here’s the scoring rule.. for every word you have on your tribe list that another tribe has on their tribe list, your tribe scores one point!. I’ll show an example from a fruit theme...
La Mina
A – Apple
B - Banana
Casaya
A – Apple
B - Banana
Bayoneta
A – Apples
B - Banana
Viveros
A – Apricot
B - Bananas
For the A, La Mina and Casaya score one point. Bayoneta and Viveros do not. To score, it must be EXACTLY the same. Any phrases you use must also be identical, 100% identical. ‘Apples’ is not the exact same as ‘Apple’. Think carefully about what you choose to put; spelling errors will also affect whether or not you score, so be mindful. (Capitalization or punctuation in phrases will not, I won't be that strict.) For B, La Mina, Casaya, and Bayoneta score TWO points, because two other tribes have the same answer. Viveros does not score.
The tribe that scores the LOWEST number of points is going to meet me at the Security Council, where the first All-Star will be voted out of the game. In the event of a tie, time of submission will break the tie. Remember, there is no talking amongst tribes, so if you cheat on this challenge, there will be a severe punishment beyond the usual warning. However, I trust that you won’t, it’s simply to remind you. You have 48 hours.
